Manitoba Jobs Agreements -
Spot the Red Flags

Manitoba’s provincial government is enforcing the Manitoba Jobs Agreement (MJA) on all provincially funded projects worth more than $50 million. This project labour agreement gives union contractors an unfair advantage over their open-shop counterparts, despite the fact that 88% of construction workers in Manitoba work in non-union environments.

MJAs are a solution in search of a problem. They won’t increase wages. They won’t improve safety. And they’re going to increase costs for the hospitals, schools and roads Manitobans rely on up to 20% more.

  • 🚩 The MJA discriminates against the 88% of construction workers not in unions.
    That’s a Red Flag.

  • 🚩 Millions of taxpayer dollars are flowing directly to a union body with no oversight.
    That’s a Red Flag.

  • 🚩 Manitobans are paying 20% more on all school, hospital and road construction.
    That’s a HUGE Red Flag.

  • 🚩The MJA is Moving Jobs Away from Manitobans.

    That’s another Red Flag.

The Manitoba Jobs Agreement is full of red flags.

We didn’t agree to this.

Manitobans can’t afford it.
